Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-05-24. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. What ForgeRestore Is
ForgeRestore is a peer-recovery organizing tool for general wellness use. It helps you connect with a sponsor, track your own step work, log your own recovery activity, and stay in touch with a recovery community.
ForgeRestore is not a medical device, not a software-as-a-medical-device, not a clinical decision-support system, not a therapeutic service, and not a diagnostic service. Nothing in the app — including the Burning Desire button, the Recovery Playbook, trigger and craving trackers, sponsor communication, the deterministic pattern reflections and weekly/monthly digests computed from your own data, or the check-in indicator tiles you build from your own data — is medical, psychiatric, or clinical advice, and none of it is a substitute for a sponsor, a meeting, a therapist, a physician, or emergency services.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, stop using the app and call your local emergency number (911 in the U.S.) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
- You must use the app for your own peer-recovery activity, not on behalf of a clinical practice, employer-mandated treatment program, or court-ordered monitoring program. ForgeRestore is not designed for, validated for, or sold for those uses.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and your vault password / recovery phrase secure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (sobriety date, journal entries, craving logs, etc.).
- Your ForgeRestoreID is an anonymous alphanumeric identifier shared only with people you choose to connect with.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ForgeRestore to:
- harass, threaten, dox, or harm another user (sponsor, sponsee, or home group member);
- send a Burning Desire SOS as a joke or to manipulate your sponsor — misuse of the SOS may result in account suspension or removal without refund;
- impersonate another person or claim a recovery status (e.g. a sobriety date or sponsor role) you do not actually hold;
- upload or share illegal content, content you do not have the right to share, or content that violates another person’s privacy;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, break, scrape, or overwhelm the service, or use automated tooling against it;
- use the app to deliver clinical, medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic services to other users, or to give advice represented as such.
5. Peer Content and Sponsor Relationships
Anything a sponsor, sponsee, or home group member says to you in ForgeRestore is their personal peer-recovery experience and opinion. It is not professional advice and is not endorsed, reviewed, or supervised by ForgeRestore. ForgeRestore does not vet sponsors and is not responsible for the content of peer conversations or assigned tasks.
6. Affiliation
ForgeRestore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or developed in cooperation with Crystal Meth Anonymous (CMA), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), or any other fellowship. Public meeting data is sourced from crystalmeth.org’s TSML API and is shown for convenience only.
7. Privacy
How we collect, use, and protect your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
8. Payments
ForgeRestore is currently in beta and free for beta testers. Future paid tiers will be billed through Stripe. Subscription terms, refund eligibility, and cancellation will be presented at the time of purchase and become part of these Terms at that point.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
ForgeRestore is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or any specific recovery outcome. We make no claim or warranty that the app will prevent relapse or maintain your sobriety.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgeRestore, its operators, and its suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app — including any decision you make in reliance on content in the app. Your sole remedy if you are dissatisfied is to stop using the app and delete your account.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, especially the acceptable-use rules in §4. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; account deletion is permanent.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the app.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the in-app help surface in Settings.
